Byon is Sagaform's more design-driven brand, targeting a design-conscious audience seeking products where aesthetics and function intertwine. While Sagaform speaks to a broader, more traditional audience, Byon positions itself as a modern design brand with a refined collection.
Challenge
When Sagaform moved to a modern, service-based platform to future-proof its digital presence, Byon needed to follow — but on its own terms. Byon needed its own digital identity that stood on its own, with a visual expression clearly distinct from the parent brand.
The challenge was to create an e-commerce experience that feels uniquely Byon, with a refined and refined aesthetic that appeals to a design-conscious audience — but that underneath shares the same modern technical foundation as Sagaform to maximize both cost efficiency and future-readiness.
Our role
As part of the broader Sagaform project, we designed Byon's e-commerce store in parallel. Based on Byon's existing brand identity and previous e-commerce, we created a new design in Figma and implemented it as its own theme in the shared codebase.
Same engine, different face
Byon runs on exactly the same technical platform as Sagaform — Next.js on Vercel, Storyblok for content, and Centra for e-commerce. But you wouldn't know it. Through a theme-based architecture layer, typography, color palette, image treatment and layout are fully adapted to Byon's design language.
This means Byon gets all the advantages of a robust, modern e-commerce platform without the cost of its own technical solution. New features, security updates and performance optimizations automatically benefit both brands.
Refined and stripped back
Where Sagaform has a broader and more traditional expression, Byon's e-commerce is designed with a deliberately refined and refined feel. Visual imagery takes center stage, navigation is streamlined, and product presentation is tailored for an audience that values aesthetics as much as function.
